PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of power conversion by making a dead time controllable in accordance with a load current.SOLUTION: A power conversion device comprises: switching elements 5a-5d; a current detection part for detecting a current Ids that flows to the switching elements 5a-5d; and a controller 14 for controlling ON/OFF of the switching elements 5a-5d by applying a gate drive signal to which the dead time is set. The controller 14 controls a ratio of the dead time with respect to a switching cycle in accordance with a value of the current Ids in such a manner that the dead time decreases in response to increase of the current Ids.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
