<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology which effectively treat data communication by two or more communication protocols. <P>SOLUTION: In an Internet telephone device 100, when a network interface part 130 receives a packet, a protocol detection part 176 detects whether it is a TCP packet or a UDP packet. If it is a TCP packet, a CPU 110 which is a universal circuit performs packet processing with a software. If it is a UDP packet, a UDP processing part 174 which is a exclusive use circuit, performs packet processing.
