<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink evaluation method with which one can select an ink whose discharge stability is high out of two or more inks. <P>SOLUTION: A predetermined amount of a solution is filtered and its filter-passing period of time, in which the solution passes though the filter, is measured. The same amount of an ink having the same viscosity with that solution is also filtered and its filter-passing period of time, in which the ink passes though the filter, is also measured. The ratio of the filter-passing periods of time of the solution and the ink is calculated. According to the ratio, whether the discharge stability of the ink is high or low is determined. By this method, the discharge stability of an ink can be easily judged and, therefore, an ink having high discharge stability can be selected out of two or more inks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
