<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material planning system which enables effective utilization of materials for canceled products in changing a product production plan. <P>SOLUTION: A material planning system is composed of a extracting canceled products method 5, a adding ordered products method 6, an adding perspective products method 7 and a making material planning method 8. The method 5 extracts canceled perspective products and ordered products, and calculates cumulative total of surplus products, which can be set aside, for the material planning and of the canceled products. The method 6 checks whether the amount of ordered products is transferable out of materials for the perspective products, and if not, adjusts the amount by performing a check A18. The method 7 adjusts the amount by performing a check B28.
