<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device having an improved search data rate by shortening a frame time (time necessary for scanning the whole search coverage). <P>SOLUTION: The aperture of an array antenna 1 is divided in two in the elevation angle, and a prescribed search region is also divided corresponding to the division. Two search transmission/reception beams are formed simultaneously independently relative to each divided search coverage, and a target is detected. Repeat timing of transmission/reception to each search coverage is set to be the same, and transmission is performed at the shifted time so that transmission pulse signals to each search coverage are not duplicated mutually at the transmission timing. On the other hand, in a tracking mode, equal-phase synthesis of a reception signal from the divided aperture is performed, thereby performing beam formation in the whole aperture of the array antenna 1 in both transmission and reception. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
