<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel which prevents the occurrence of a Newton ring due to changes of temperature and relative humidity, or pressing by an operator. <P>SOLUTION: Resistive thin films 40, 41 are formed respectively on single sides of a touch side substrate 1 and non-touch side substrate 2 which faces each other. The resistive thin films are constituted of; a plurality of insulating spacers 30 arranged vertically and horizontally with equal intervals, respectively; and a plurality of insulating spacers 31 with lower height than insulating spacer 30, and rim sections of both substrate are adhered with an insulating layer 8 such as a double-faced tape. Between adjacent insulating spacers 30, a plurality of insulating spacers 31 are arranged. Dimensions of heights and arrangement intervals of adjacent insulating spacers 30 are not so large as to allow a Newton ring to generate. Even if the touch side substrate 1 slackens due to change of temperature and relative humidity, it is supported by the insulating spacers 30 and necessary minimum distance between both substrates is secured and the Newton ring will not be generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
