<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniformly expandable flexible stent that has a sufficient strength to hold a lumen open and excellent trackability to lumen etc., (therefore, can pass through a three-dimensionally meandering lumen) and is substantially free from shortening (shortening in pipe length) and friendly to lumen etc., and in which a horizontal hole can be formed easily. <P>SOLUTION: This flexible stent contains a tubular structural member 2 composed of a plurality of first structural members 2a and a plurality of second structure members 2b which are spiraled in different directions. The first and second structural members 2a and 2b respectively have wavy elements 21 which are continuous in the spiraled directions and wound around the same peripheral surface from one end to the other end of the structural member 2 and, at the same time, connected to each other at intersecting portions.
