<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately input position information to a computer using a pointing device of simple arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: As information on a computer 1, for example, an image is projected onto a screen 3 by a projector 2 and a briefer (presenter) 4 provides a briefing while pointing the projected image 3a using a pointing device 5. An indicating part at the front end of the pointing device 5 has a radio transmitter and an acceleration sensor embedded therein, with the acceleration sensor detecting position information and the radio transmitter sending this information to the computer 1.
