PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-slip material for stairs of fitting type capable of preventing it from being removed from a pedestal when used by using hard or semi-hard synthetic resin in a part of the non-slip material for stairs and utilizing characteristic of soft synthetic resin. SOLUTION: In this non-slip material 1 for stairs in which hard or semi-hard synthetic resin 3 is put in a soft synthetic resin layer 2, the hard or semi-hard synthetic resin layer 3 is integrally formed in such a way that it becomes a step nose side of stairs when mounting the non-slip material 1 on the pedestal 4 and enters a position which becomes a rear surface side or a side in the vicinity of rear surface of the non-slip material 1.
