PURPOSE: A car audio system having a television sound receiving function is provided to expand a frequency band so as to select a frequency band of a television broadcasting program when selecting a radio broadcasting program, in case a TV broadcasting signal is cut off, so that a driver can listen to a voice signal of the TV program through the radio broadcasting program. CONSTITUTION: A key operator(10) has plural key buttons. A tuner(20) selects a signal in accordance with a frequency band of a radio or TV broadcasting program. A microcomputer(30) enables the tuner(20) to select the corresponding signal, and controls an operation of each circuit block. A video signal detector(40) and a voice signal detector(50) detect a video signal and a voice signal included in the selected signal under control of the microcomputer(30). A display(60) displays a video in accordance with the detected video signal. A voice output unit(70) outputs the detected voice signal.
