PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a process speed while a rotational speed of a rotary polygon mirror is stabilized without changing a resolution of images to be formed in a recording medium. SOLUTION: In an image formation device 10 with an image formation part 18, the process speed of a photoreceptor drum 2 is changed by control of a control part 111. On the basis of the process speed, a compulsory emission signal of a period of n times (n is an integer satisfying n≥2) of a main scanning period by each face of the rotary polygon mirror is generated by a compulsory emission signal generating means 6. A reference position signal of a period based on the compulsory emission signal is generated by a reference position signal generating means 7.
