PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which flexible editing processing can be performed while maintaining a convenience in performing the editing processing for binary image data corresponding to a certain image. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus for receiving a job request includes processing content data indicating the contents of processing performed for multi-valued data corresponding to the certain image by a user, and an identifier uniquely identifying the multi-valued data from a client device in which the processing is performed. The apparatus acquires the binary image data stored in a storage device in association with the identifier including in the job request. This apparatus specifies contents of processing to be conducted for the binary image data, based on the processing content data, and conducts the specified processing for the binary image data.
