PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber curl cord for attaining low loss of 2 dB or smaller in an entire length of the curl cord. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber cord 20, a quartz-based single mode optical fiber of about 125μm of the outside diameter of a glass clad superior in bending characteristics of an Holey optical fiber 10 or the like incorporates a single core or a plurality of cores, and is spirally molded in a winding diameter of 8-25 mm in a cord center.
