PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crystallizing a protein, using a structure for weighing and collecting a small amount of a liquid. SOLUTION: This method for crystallizing the protein comprises using the structure for weighing and collecting the small amount of the liquid, wherein the structure has a first channel (channel A) and a second channel (channel B) of which each is extended in the specified direction, a third channel (channel C) which opens onto a channel wall of the first channel (channel A), and a fourth channel (channel D) which opens onto a channel wall of the second channel (channel B), connects one of ends of the third channel (channel C) with the second channel, has such a characteristic as not to be wetted (or to be relatively scarcely affected by capillary attraction), and is narrower than the other three channels, and further the structure is used in such a manner that the liquid introduced into the first channel is led into the third channel through an opening part of the third channel which opens onto the channel wall of the first channel, then the liquid remaining in the first channel is removed, and therefore the liquid in an amount corresponding to a volume of the third channel is weighed and collected.
