摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide type optical signal processor in which a circuit layout is provided to reduce the propagation length of an optical waveguide compared with a conventional circuit layout, propagation loss is reduced by the reduction in the propagation length of the optical waveguide, and the circuit size is further reduced. SOLUTION: In the waveguide type optical signal processor that is formed on a substrate, optical couplers 11 to 14 and optical path length difference imparting sections 21 to 23 made of two optical waveguides connected to the couplers 11 to 14 are alternatively connected in a cascade manner. At least two of the optical couplers 11 to 14 are laid out in parallel. The length direction of the remained optical coupler 13 is laid out in a tilted manner with respect to the length directions of the optical couplers 11, 12 and 14 which are laid out in parallel.
