<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring method, program and a centralized monitoring program that can monitor monitoring-object devices even if identification data of the monitoring-object devices overlap on each network. <P>SOLUTION: The monitor 32 for monitoring monitoring-object devices 35 connected with a LAN 36 is connected with a monitoring server 20 by way of a firewall 31 via the Internet 40. Further, when detecting failure of the monitoring-object devices 35, the monitor 32 notices, to the monitoring server 20, the occurrence of the faults of the monitoring-object devices 35 together with LAN addresses of the devices using a global address of the monitor 32.
