PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanofiber nonwoven fabric with which an electric double layer capacitor with high capacity can be fabricated, and to provide a production method of a carbon nanofiber fabric with which the nonwoven fabric can be produced.SOLUTION: A production method of a carbon nanofiber nonwoven fabric includes: a fabrication step of an immiscible polymer solution to fabricate the immiscible polymer solution 100 in a condition in which a phase 102 including PAN forms a discontinuous phase and a phase 104 including PMMA forms a continuous phase; a fabrication step of a composite nanofiber nonwoven fabric to fabricate "the composite nanofiber nonwoven fabric composed of an assembly of composite nanofibers 126 which is formed by arranging a plurality of nanofiber cores 124 composed of PAN, in the inside of a nanofiber shell 122 composed of PMMA, in a state of being extended along a length direction the nanofiber shell" from the immiscible polymer solution by an electrospinning method; and a fabrication step of the carbon nanofiber 146 nonwoven fabric to heat-decompose PMMA and carbonize PAN by subjecting the composite nanofiber nonwoven fabric to heat treatment for carbonizing PAN.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
