PURPOSE: A lamp is provided to form a protecting film on a fluorescent layer for preventing the deterioration of the fluorescent layer, wherein the protecting film overlaps first and second lamp electrodes for protecting a glass tube from accelerated ions and electrons. CONSTITUTION: A lamp includes a glass tube(126) filled with inert gas, and first and second lamp electrodes(124) mounted at both ends of the glass tube. The glass tube is formed with a fluorescent layer(130) on an inner wall between the first and second lamp electrodes. A protecting film(128) is formed on the fluorescent layer, overlapping the first and second lamp electrodes.
