OPTICAL CONNECTOR PLUG AND RECEPTACLE, OPTICAL CONNECTOR, AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector plug that can be used in combination with various receptacles without causing failure when inserted into the receptacles. SOLUTION: An optical connector plug 1 is provided which is combined with a receptacle having a plug inserting hole. The plug has a distal end 7 that forms an optical reference surface to coincide with an optical reference surface inside the receptacle. The optical connector plug 1 is provided with: a first mechanical reference surface 5 a prescribed distance in the direction of inserting the plug behind the optical reference surface formed by the plug distal end 7; and a second mechanical reference surface 6 a prescribed distance in the direction of inserting the plug behind the optical reference surface of the plug distal end 7. The first and the second mechanical reference surface 5, 6 are arranged in a manner that the first mechanical reference surface 5 abuts on an element in the receptacle and the second mechanical reference surface 6 abuts on the front face of the receptacle.
