IN-PLANE SWITCHING MODE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device which simplifies a fabrication process andto provide a method for fabricating the in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device.

SOLUTION: The method for fabricating the in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device includes: a step to form a data line and a light shielding film on a substrate; a step to form a polycrystalline silicon thin film on the substrate; a step to form a pixel electrode line and an active region by patterning the polycrystalline silicon thin film; a step to form a first insulating film on the substrate; a step to form a gate electrode and a common electrode line on the substrate; a step to form a second insulating film on the substrate; a step to form a first contact hole which exposes portions of the data line and the active region; and a step to form a connection electrode which connects the exposed data line to a part of the active region.
