PURPOSE: A transporting apparatus is provided to change at least one of a transportation direction and a transportation attitude of an article by a propulsion force-providing unit. CONSTITUTION: A transporting apparatus has blow-type support units(33) supplying clean air toward the bottom surface of an article(2) and supporting the article in a non-contact state; a first transportation part and a second transportation part each having a propulsion force-providing unit(34) providing propulsion force of a transportation direction to the article; and a relay transportation part arranged to a position where the first transportation part and the second transportation part are connected. The propulsion force-providing unit provides propulsion force by coming in contact with the bottom surface of the article supported by the blow-type support units. The transporting apparatus has units(45A,46A) for changing at least one of a transportation direction and a transportation attitude of the article reaching the relay transportation part and handing the article to the transportation part of the lower side.
