SIDE PAD MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF A COWL TOP COVER FOR ASSEMBLING A SIDE PAD ON A THREE-DIMENSIONAL CURVED SURFACE OF THE COWL TOP COVER WITH MINIMIZING GAP

PURPOSE: A side pad mounting structure of a cowl top cover is provided to equalize and minimize a gap between the cowl top cover and a side cover by assembling the side pad on a three-dimensional curved surface of the cowl top cover and to prevent loosening of a mounting portion by supporting the side pad to a fixing bracket. CONSTITUTION: In a side pad mounting structure for combining a side pad(12) to the lateral side of a cowl top cover(8), a fixing bracket(20) is disposed between the side pad and the cowl top cover and then the side pad and the cowl top cover are assembled to each other by plural tapping screws(22). The side pad is joined on a three-dimensional curved surface(8a) of the cowl top cover and held by the fixing bracket. Accordingly, the side pad mounting structure prevents the side pad from being deflected or separated from the cowl top cover by closely contacting and assembling the side pad to the curved surface by the tapping screws.
