To provide a method and an apparatus for easily bending an arbitrary portion of a steel pipe coated with synthetic resin to a desired angle without damage of a synthetic resin coating layer formed on the steel pipe. The apparatus for bending a steel pipe covered with synthetic resin coating layer comprises a heating machine(100) comprising a heating container(101) in which a heat transfer medium(105) filled, on facing wall surfaces of which an entrance(103) and an exit(104) are respectively formed so that the steel pipe is supplied into the entrance, and the steel pipe is drawn out from the exit, and in which a heating unit(102) for heating the heat transfer medium is installed, and a drain tank(110) comprising a pump(111) and a heat transfer medium return pipe(112) for returning the recovered heat transfer medium to the heating container by recovering heat transfer medium flowing down from the exit; and a bending machine(200) comprising a plurality of bending rollers(201) disposed in such a way that the steel plate passing through the heating machine is bent to a fixed angle by the bending rollers.
