<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contaminant remover having sufficiently high removing performance against contaminants, e.g. nitrogen and sulfur oxides, and ensuring removal of contaminants, e.g. nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides, even in low concentrations and an efficient and reliable method of manufacturing the remover. <P>SOLUTION: The remover has a coated layer composed of at least one active ingredient selected from a group of Pt, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Au, Os, Cu, Co, Ni, Fe and Sn, oxides of the metals, alloys of the metals and alloys of the metals with other metals, exclusively on the outer surface of a porous support of an average pore diameter of 0.3-10 nm composed of at least one material selected from a group of metal oxides and carbonaceous materials. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
