<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structured document encoding device that generates encoded information enabling the extraction of information on a specific node in a tree structure of a structured document in fewer processing steps. <P>SOLUTION: The structured document encoding device comprises node identification number assigning means for assigning a node identification number to each node of a tree structure defined by a structured document, node position information generating means for generating node position information about each node, at least including the node identification number, the identification number of a child node, and the identification number of the next sibling node having the same parent node, and structured document encoding information generating means for generating structured document encoding information combining the node position information about each node and node content information in the structured document corresponding to each node. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
