<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a musical score whose contents are easily and accurately recognized. <P>SOLUTION: Only the portion, which is surrounded by 21, among a musical score is displayed on a display screen. A person can move a note to a desired location by dragging the note using a pen type icon 22. At that time, when the moved note is related to a musical score symbol 23 which links a plurality of notes, the notation of the musical score symbol 23 is updated in accordance with the result of the movement. Moreover, when the notes, which are linked by a musical score symbol, are unable to be simultaneously displayed, the display configuration of the musical score symbol 23 is made into a display configuration which is easily understood.
