<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent which is used for reinforcing fibers and is suitable for giving carbon fiber bundles capable of realizing good interfacial adhesiveness to polyolefin-based resins, especially polypropylene resin, to provide a carbon fiber bundle sized with the same, to provide a method for producing the sized carbon fiber bundle, to provide a thermoplastic resin composition using the carbon fiber bundles, and to provide a molded article thereof. <P>SOLUTION: This sizing agent for reinforcing fibers comprises a polymer (A) having (meth)acrylate units (a) in whose each an acryloyloxy group or methacryloyloxy group is bound to a secondary carbon atom or a tertiary carbon atom. The carbon fiber bundle sized with the sizing agent. Preferably, the carbon fiber bundle preliminarily sized with a pre-sizing agent comprising an epoxy resin and then sized with the sizing agent.
