<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment method which enables a simple and efficient treatment of an exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust gas treatment method for treating the exhaust gas 11 containing nitrogen dioxide comprises passing the exhaust gas 11 through a reduction means 2 made from a carbonaceous material 3 disposed at a specified place of an exhaust system 10, and catalytically reacting the nitrogen dioxide contained in the exhaust gas 11 with the carbonaceous material 3, from which the reduction means 2 is made, to decompose the nitrogen dioxide into nitrogen and carbon dioxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
