<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas regeneration type adsorption/discharge-used method for treating NOx and its apparatus, in each of which the energy consumption required for decomposing NOx can be made small and NOx can be decomposed efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: This gas regeneration type adsorption/discharge-used apparatus for treating NOx is provided with: a NOx adsorbing agent-packed vessel 11 for introducing the gas contaminated with NOx from the outside, adsorbing NOx and discharging a NOx-removed clean gas; an oxygen removing agent-packed vessel 12 for introducing the NOx-containing gas desorbed from a NOx-adsorbed NOx adsorbing agent in the NOx adsorbing agent-packed vessel 11 and removing oxygen in the NOx-containing gas and; an electricity discharging vessel 13 for discharging electricity in the nitrogen gas from the oxygen removing agent-packed vessel 12 to produce NOx gas based on NO and supplying the NOx gas to the NOx adsorbing agent-packed vessel. A metal which is oxidized when oxygen is removed from the NOx-containing gas desorbed from the NOx-adsorbed NOx adsorbing agent in the NOx adsorbing agent-packed vessel 11 is reduced/regenerated by the hydrogen obtained by a water electrolyzing unit 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
