<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact data storage device and method. <P>SOLUTION: A data storage device 1 is provided with a flash memory 12 to be operated when a power is supplied from a secondary battery 2, for recording received data, a recording part 13 whose power consumption is larger than that of the flash memory 12, for recording the received data, and a control part 14 for selecting the recording part 13 as the recording destination of the received data when the secondary battery 2 is chargeable, and for selecting the flash memory 12 as the recording destination of the received data when the secondary battery 2 is not chargeable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
