<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with reduction in thickness while stabilizing electromagnetic characteristics even in the case of a combination of U-type ferrite cores by setting a height at a leg and a length at a part for coupling both legs appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: In this transformer formed with a gap G of a magnetic circuit inside a bobbin 20 wound with a plurality of windings, the magnetic circuit is formed by combining first and second U-type ferrite cores 11 and 12.
