<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of easily carrying out a path design for efficient accommodation of user traffic. <P>SOLUTION: When a network management apparatus, connected to a plurality of relay nodes in a network wherein a plurality of user points are interconnected by the plurality of relay nodes and links when communication paths are designed among the user points, the network management apparatus receives entries of user information, including information about the bands of access links being links interconnecting each user point and the relay nodes; and information denoting the relay node connected to the user point via the access link, acquires topological information of the network for relaying communication among the user points, obtains ports for relaying the communication and ports which do for not relay the communication, on the basis of the user information and the topological information, obtains an upper limit of the communication band of the ports for relaying the communication, designs paths to interconnect the user points by tree-like paths, and provides an output of a result of the path design. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
