PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the disadvantage of a refrigerating device using a hermetic compressor wherein it takes a long time to return to a normal operating state without making failure in restarting after an overload protection device is operated. SOLUTION: The hermetic compressor 101 comprising the overload protecting device 109 and an electric air blower 103 for cooling the hermetic compressor by the air are connected in parallel to a power source circuit 105 and a switch 107, and a mechanical relay 111 for switching on the power source circuit at an electric air blower 103 side only when the electric current flows in the power source circuit at a hermetic compressor 101 side, is added, whereby a cooling speed of the overload protecting device 109 is not excessively increased, and a returning time is elongated. As a result, the restarting in a state in which the pressure difference between a pressure at a discharge side of the hermetic compressor 101 and a pressure at an intake side is large, is prevented, and a time necessary for the hermetic compressor 101 to return to the normal operating state is shortened.
