PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission capable of suppressing fretting abrasion on a contact surface between a piston part constituting a pressing device and a disc.SOLUTION: A pressing device 80 of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission has a cylinder part 81 constituting a hydraulic pressure 85, and a piston part 83 provided at the cylinder part 81 and contacting with a contact part 82 provided at an input side disc 2. Since a fitting part 100 is provided at the piston part 83, and the contact part 82 is fitted into the fitting part 100, fretting abrasion on a contact surface between the contact part 82 of the input side disc 2 and the piston part 83 can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
