<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for heating a toroidal wire rod, which rapidly and uniformly heats the wire rod to a predetermined heating temperature when applied to a heat treatment line for the wire rod. <P>SOLUTION: The heating device has at least two induction coils which continuously changes an angle made by a magnetic field direction and a transferring direction along the transferring direction, on a face of a transportation conveyer, wherein each of at least two induction coils is placed on one side and the other side of the transferring widthwise direction of the toroidal wire rod so that the direction of a magnetic field generated at an edge of the transferring widthwise direction of the toroidal wire rod can be approximately the same as the transferring direction, and the direction of a magnetic field at a position distant from the edge of the transferring widthwise direction of the toroidal wire rod to the transferring widthwise direction by a length between one-half of and the whole of the transferring width can be the transferring widthwise direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
