<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding structure for a face plate of a golf club head which achieves the reduction in a clearance of an interface, the increase in contact pressure and the rise in the temperature of friction welding by connecting a friction welding inclined surface of the face plate onto a friction welding inclined surface of the body of the head to be closely fitted thereinto by the friction welding, can further avoid the generation of an intermetallic compound layer by removing an oxide layer of the interface and enables the application for the connection of various non-regular circle-shaped face plates with a simplified production process by eliminating the need for relatively rotating the face plate and the body of the head, and to provide a method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The welding method for the face plate on the golf club head contains the stage of setting the second friction welding inclined surface on the face plate and setting the first friction welding inclined surface within an opening part of the body of the head, the stage of connecting the second friction welding inclined surface onto the first friction welding inclined surface, the stage of applying a pressure onto the face plate to fit it into the opening of the body of the head, the stage of carrying out the friction welding along the joint position of the face plate on the body of the head using a rotary rod, and the stage of carrying out a surfacing processing at the joint position of the face plate on the body of the head. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
