<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite casting which is composed of a porous sintered compact(s) and a coating cast iron part, hardly undergoes compression deformation as a high damping material and further exhibiting high vibration absorbability and sound absorbability. <P>SOLUTION: The composite casting comprises a porous sintered compact(s) obtained by subjecting single or two or more kinds of metal chips to compacting while performing electric heating and having high porosity, and a coating cast iron part surrounding the sintered compact(s). One or a plurality of the porous sintered compacts are buried in the coating cast iron material wholly or partially, the surface of the buried part in the porous sintered compact(s) is fused with the coating cast iron part, and at least one surface of the coating cast iron part or the confronted surface thereof is smoothly finished after casting/cooling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
