<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing compost by which organic waste such as excreta high in water content is solidified or granulated in a short time by the reaction with wollastonite and sulfuric acid to reduce odor in the manufacture of compost and the fermentation, that is, the composting by effective microorganisms is surely carried out in a practically large quantity. <P>SOLUTION: The compost is obtained by mixing the organic waste with wollastonite, further mixing concentrated sulfuric acid to react with each other to solidify or granulate, further mixing with a material obtained by oil-immersing the organic waste with a hot oil to decrease the water content, adding effective microorganisms and fermenting using the mixture as a culture medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
