<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate of a lithographic plate which enables improvement of plate wear resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This original plate of the lithographic plate is constituted in such a manner that the upper layer of an image recording layer 16 formed on a substrate 12 contains a pigment having a photothermal conversion rate not so high as that of dye, but being hardly discolored by light, while the lower layer of the layer 16 contains a dye having a high photothermal conversion efficiency, but tending to be discolored by the light. On the occasion when the image recording layer 16 is exposed to the image recording light, the temperature is raised by making the upper layer part hardly discolored by the light absorb the light so that the light be attenuated moderately, and the lower layer part is heated at once by the light passing through the upper layer and being attenuated, while the dye is kept from being discolored by the light. Thereby the temperature of the interface between the image recording layer 16 and the substrate 12 is raised efficiently. Thus the image recording layer 16 in the region of the interface is hardened firmly and the plate wear resistance is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
