<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which has a high energy saving effect, permits the use of a signal processing section of universal goods and can maintain the exact timing for on and off. <P>SOLUTION: The display device comprises the signal processing section 2 for converting an inputted video signal to an image signal, a display means 16 of displaying the image according to the image signal, a power source section 12, and a control circuit 9 respectively connected to the signal processing section 2, the display means 16 and the power source section 12.
