<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect distance up to an obstacle or reflector, or direction of the obstacle or reflector. <P>SOLUTION: The obstacle detector is configured so that high frequency signals are transmitted toward the direction of an obstacle or a reflector 1 from a directional antenna 21a of a transmitting device 2a and then after either of directional antennas 21b and 21c of a receiving device 2b are selected, amplitudes, frequencies or phases, or these combination of carrier waves, spread signs or modulating signals, or these combination of the high-frequency signals concerned are measured to detect distance and direction of the obstacle or the reflector 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
