PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film excellent in mechanical strength, heat resistance, chemical resistance, insulation properties, dimensional stability, adhesivity with a coated layer, toughness, pinhole resistance, folding durability, and bag-drop strength, and usable for various applications such as boiling or retort treatment requiring impact resistance or the like, thermoforming or vacuum forming, packagings for moisture-containing foods or for drugs and the like. SOLUTION: This polyester film is made from a mixed polyester-based resin composition of 10-90 wt.% of a polyester-based resin (polyester(A)) comprising ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid as principal raw material components and 90-10 wt.% of a polyester-based resin (polyester(B)) comprising raw material components different from those of the polyester(A), where the exothermic peak calorieΔH accompanied by crystal melting of the polyester(B) in the polyester film obtained by an irreversible heat flux curve in the DSC measurement is 5.5-100 J/g.
