A system, method and device for managing handicap data for individual players during a game of golf are disclosed. Score data entered into an electronic scorecard 6.1 are synchronized with data entered into a corresponding marker electronic scorecard 6.2. The synchronisation is performed by communicating entered score data between the scorecards over a wireless link.
