<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cleaner of a low manufacturing cost that does not require heating of a cleaning material and can keep a running cost low in cleaning an exhaust gas containing hydrogen chloride and/or chlorine. <P>SOLUTION: The gas cleaner 10 installed removably in a channel through which an objective gas to be cleaned containing hydrogen chloride (HCl) and/or chlorine (Cl<SB>2</SB>) flows and equipped with a cleaning unit 20 for cleaning the objective gas to be cleaned is characterized in that the cleaning unit 20 comprises a gas inlet 24 of the objective gas to be processed at an end of a hollow vessel 22, a gas outlet 26 of the processed gas at the other end of the vessel 22 and the cleaning material 40 made of copper held in the vessel 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
