<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of starting recording quickly after stoppage of recording even when joint photographing is carried out in unit smaller than unit of error correction coding. <P>SOLUTION: In stopping recording in the recorder for recording MPEG encoded image data while performing error correction coding in units of N tracks, the image data is recorded up to a predetermined screen related to the encoding and then recording is stopped in units of N tracks while holding the image data of N tracks including the image data of the predetermined screen in a memory. During joint photographing, image data to be recorded anew is written in the memory following to the image data of the predetermined screen in the N track data stored in the memory, and recorded on a tape while performing error correction coding in units of the image data of N tracks including the image data of the predetermined screen recorded in the end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
