PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a color master batch for thermoplastic resins which is rich in pigment dispersibility matchable with color master batches by the conventional methods, only by mixing and stirring a pigment with a thermoplastic resin at a circumferential speed of fixed laminar flow, by solving the problem of such defects that a melt kneading apparatus used for the manufacture of products rich in pigment dispersibility is large and manufacturing operation is not easy, although a color master batch by a flashing method is actively used because such the products rich in pigment dispersibility are easily obtainable by a coloring formation with a natural resin. SOLUTION: The master batch can be obtained by a laminar flow mixing of the thermoplastic resin, water, and the pigment by using a high speed type mixer in which the space between the tip of a stirring blade and the inner wall of a stirring vessel is 3-30 mm, and the tip speed of the rotating stirring blade is 8 m/sec or higher, and by using a friction heat generated at that time to dehydrate and to soften the thermoplastic resin to be in a lump shape, and by dispersing the pigment into the thermoplastic resin.
