PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in the conventional electrochemical cell, a container and a sealing plate are welded in the atmosphere, and therefore the welded part is oxidized and thereby is reduced in corrosion resistivity and impurities elude from the welded part into an electrolyte, resulting in an increase in internal resistance and a decline in capacitance of the electrochemical cell and that an organic solvent in the electrolyte can be oxidized by the welding. SOLUTION: The electrochemical cell comprises a pair of electrodes which work as an anode and a cathode, respectively; separator for separating the electrodes; the ion conduction electrolyte; the container for storing the electrodes, separator, and electrolyte; and the sealing plate for sealing the container.
