PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound conductor capable of securing continuous current flow with currents flowing in adjacent strands through solder junctions regardless of damaged positions, if any, even when multi-core strands of a compound conductor, specifically of a magnetic coil are damaged during service. SOLUTION: The conductor has solder-joined multi-core superconductive strands (1, 1'). The strands are combined with each other with continuous solder junctions (2, 2') over the whole length and the solder junctions (2, 2') are made of low-melting-point alloy.
