<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an operation instruction to a data collator from a PLC, and to notify the operation status of the data collator to the PLC. <P>SOLUTION: In the read data collating system, comprising a bar code reader 10, the data collator 12 for collating the read data with predetermined reference record RD, and the PLC 15 for controlling a FA machine 16 based on the result of collation, the PLC 15 consists of an input memory 151 for storing external input data, an output memory 153 for storing external output data, an inside memory 157 for buffering data communication between the data collator 12 and PLC 15 and a ladder program 156a.
