<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocatalyst-containing composition for hair which contains an effective new material as a substitute for all or a part of an oxidizing agent contained in a cosmetic for hair and a quasi-drug for hair, and hence overcomes conventional defects and is stable for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: This composition provided contains at least one compound having a photocatalytic action as the substitute for all or a part of the conventionally used oxidizing agent.
